the girl on the train.

Every summer my book list grows longer, but my reading time tends to get shorter.  The schedule fills up, we’re enjoying the outdoors, and my books sit in the same spot day after day. However, when I finally picked up The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins, all activities suspended until the last page was read.

It wouldn’t surprise me if most of you have already read this – I’m a little late to the party – but if you haven’t, I highly recommend picking up this bestseller now.  Being compared to Gillian Flynn novels, Gone Girl and Sharp Objects, this one comes at you full force with a mysterious murder, love affairs and three points of view.  My mind was racing throughout the story, trying to piece everything together right alongside Rachel as she’s full of doubt, concern, hate and even self-harm. You just have to read it – no spoilers here!

And get it before October.  Emily Blunt will star in the movie coming out in theaters October 7th!  Watch the trailer here.

Have you read it? What did you think?
